Mike Pusch, resident of DuBois and a volunteer at CKM for
many years, brought his antique tools to CKM for a show and demonstration. Mike is a collector of antique tools and a
skilled woodworker. It was a great
afternoon that brought many memories and interesting discussions. Mike took is time carefully drilling and
scraping while thoroughly answering any questions our residents asked. Deacon Bill Wright, who is also a
woodworker, brought in some birdhouses he made to share with the group. This was an especially fun activity for the
men but our ladies enjoyed it just as much!

KIDS' DAY AT CKM
An annual event that our staff’s children look
forward to every year is Kids’ Day.
The children come to CKM for a fun-filled day of games, prizes, crafts,
food, and fun! Emma and Abby Duttry,
who have been coming to Kid’s day for many years, came up with the idea of
having an Olympic theme. This year
Emma, Abby, Michael Zaffuto, and Ashley Krajewski were “team leaders” for our
Olympics. Our teams, Rushmore Red,
Everglades Green, Grand Canyon Gold, and Appalachian Blue, competed in
different events throughout the day but all the children were winners. Our residents were very content to watch the
children play. The end of the day the
kids were presented with a certificate and an engraved medal as a keepsake of
this year’s events.
