National Nursing Home Week was filled with Hawaiian themed activities. We made Leis, baked Hawaiian treats, had a Hawiian Pizza Party, a Luau, made Sea Shell Sand Treasures, played ALOHA Bingo, talked about the meaning of the "Spirit of Aloha" and other various activities.

MOTHER'S DAY SOCIAL
Our Mother's day social was celebrated during National Nursing Home Week and we had a wonderful party where we served various scrumptious cheesecakes and keeping with the "Hawaiian" theme, the cheesecakes were served with Hawaiian Mimosas. It was great to have so many family members there celebrating with their loved ones.

MAY CROWNING
Charlotte Varner was given the honor of crowning the Blessed Mother during our May Crowning ceremony at the beginning of May. Charlotte has a special title of being our oldest resident, turning 104 on June 30. She is pictured with Monica Bobal and her neice, Becky Duttra.
SWEET AND SAVORY TREATS!
Greg Zaffuto, local chef and son of one of our residents, Liz Zaffuto, has an activity once a month for our residents demonstrating and serving various food items. He always has something interesting to discuss and tips to share. The best part, though, is when we get to devour his creations! Thanks, Greg!

HOMEMADE PIEROGIES
Eleanor Maze works diligently filling and sealing pierogies in the activities room. Pierogie is one of her specialties and with some help made 75! They were served with sauteed onions that afternoon as an activity and everyone LOVED them! Thank you, Eleanor.
