Dorrie Taylor from the Office of the State Long Term Care Ombudsmen was a special guest at our August resident council meeting. Dorrie is working on a training video to assist other facilities on developing a resident governed council. Christ The King Manor was selected after Nina Davis, Community Services Supervisor for Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging, was invited to one of our monthly meetings and was impressed by how well our residents were engaged at the meeting. The training video will be used throughout the state of Pennsylvania and we hope to be showing it at our next resident council meeting.
