JIMMY SWOGGER, CONCERT ARTIST AND VENTRILOQUIST

Our residents were treated to very special entertainment in June with not one, not two, not three, not four, but FIVE performers!  Jimmy Swogger and four of his "close friends" had the crowd singing and laughing with a fun mix of ventriloquism, music and magic as they kept our residents attentive and mesmerized by bringing his puppets to life and making beautiful music. Jimmy's audiences have included several United States Presidents, mayors and other dignitaries as well as state fair performances and a variety of other audiences.  We were privileged to have him here and are looking forward to a November performance.

NATIONAL NURSING HOME WEEK FUN!

National Nursing Home Week was so much fun this year with a Carnival theme!  The activities department had a fun-filled week for the residents that included making carnival hats, home made ice cream, Carnival BINGO, food, crafts and more.  Wednesday's activity was an all day carnival with games, prizes, popcorn, fudge, cotton candy, and best of all, the atmosphere drew you in to either participate or observe.

FLOWER POWER!

The craft project for May involved a unique way of painting....with a fork!  Beautiful flowers were created with acrylic paint and a fork on prepared posterboard.  They turned out to be beautiful works of art that our residents proudly display in their rooms.

MAY CROWNING

Our May Crowning was scheduled on May 4 which happened to be Rose Shambelan's birthday so she had the honor of crowning the Blessed Mother.  She is pictured with Monica Bobal who organized the ceremony.
