Annual Fall Festival

On Sunday November 1, 2009, Christ the King Manor once again hosted its annual Fall Resident and Family Gathering. Residents from The Cottages, Personal Care, Skilled Care, Memory Support, Adult Day Care and Home Support were invited as well as all of their families. There were over 500 reservations making this the highest attended festival to date. Tables were set up in our main dining room, employee dining room, Personal Care Unit and Memory Support Units to accommodate everyone. Joe Serafini provided some wonderful music with his accordion. A delicious lunch of homemade chili, wedding and potato soups were served as well as sandwich trays with all the fixings. The desserts were the hit of the afternoon and they were plentiful. The apple cider was a pure taste of Fall. All children attending received individual treat bags and we even held a "guess the weight of the pumpkin" contest. All adults got to sign up for some wonderful fall door prizes. It was an enjoyable afternoon, especially for our residents whose families live out of town and they don't get to see them that often.
