OUTSIDE CHARITIES BENEFIT FROM THE GENEROSITY OF CKM STAFF AND RESIDENTS

Robin Bish, Assistant Director of Nursing, has a passion for helping others.  She involves herself in many fund raising campaigns to include the Alzheimer’s Association and the Multiple Sclerosis Society.  Her most recent campaign is to collect aluminum tabs to benefit the Ronald McDonald House, an organization that provides a “home away from home” for families who need to be near their injured or seriously ill children while they are being treated in hospitals.  With the help of staff, residents, and other sources outside the manor, Robin organized the collection of over 55 pounds of aluminum tabs!  The residents at CKM are always willing to help out with various fundraisers and this was no exception.  It has developed into an ongoing project for the residents because it is something easy, fun, and rewarding to do.  Pictured below is Robin with Albert Beck, a resident from our skilled unit, and a photo of Donna Beck, Louise Rutkowski, and Madolene Ferut, residents from our personal care unit with their collection.  If you wish to help out just collect your tabs and drop them off at the reception area at your convenience.  Thank you!
