FOREIGN EXCHANGE STUDENTS VOLUNTEER AT CKM

Four foreign exchange students have been volunteering time at Christ The King assisting with group activities on Saturday afternoons. They have been in the US since August and will stay until the school year is over. We expect to have them with us several times more before they leave for their respective countries and are looking forward to special presentations of customs, activities, dress, and other interesting tid-bits from each student.

PENN STATE DUBOIS ACTIVITY CLUB

On Friday, February 12 a group of students from the Penn State DuBois Activity Club visited CKM with 160 valentine cards they made and signed. It was a wonderful treat to have them here and they not only delivered valentine cards, but beautiful smiles and positive attitudes that uplifted every resident they visited. This is an annual event for us and we will always welcome their visits.

VALENTINE'S DAY AT CKM

Valentine’s Day is made quite special here at CKM. A total of six Kings and six Queens were crowned during our Valentine’s Day Party. They were selected by the popular vote of family, staff, and residents themselves. Refreshments, door prizes, music and merriment filled the afternoon. The winners were quite pleased with themselves, as you can see!

Jack Chess won the King's crown on his wing and is pictured with his wife, Marie.

Earl Jewell is quite happy!
