GREATER DUBOIS AREA MINISTERIAL ASSOCIATION

Christ The King Manor would like to thank the members of the Greater DuBois Area Ministeial Association who come to our facility every Sunday at 3:00 pm to provide Interfaith Services to our residents.  This group, changing slightly year to year, has been providing spiritual services at CKM for over 25 years.  It is a gift and a blessing to have their services.  Current association members include: Tri-County Church, Salvation Army, Smithtown Community Church, First UMC, First Presbyterian, Bethany Covenant Church, Shepherd's Grace Chapel, Reformed Presbyterian, Church of Our Savior, Mt. Zion UMC, Episcopal Church, Treasure Lake Church, and Lakeside UMC.  We THANK you and we APPRECIATE you!

VETERAN'S DAY AT CKM

Veteran's Day is celebrated with great pride and appreciation at CKM every year and this year was no exception despite our power outage on November 11.  The DuBois Honor Guard came to pay tribute to all of our Veterans with a gun salute and the playing of Taps.  The activities staff honored the Veterans with readings, prayers, words of thanks and a gift.  Refreshments were served after the formalities and patriotic songs were sung. We thank all veterans, past and present, who serve our country.

VOLUNTEER DECORATING

Judy Smith and other members of the Athena Investment Club and Crzy Grlz Book Club helped the activities staff decorate at CKM this year.  The help was greatly appreciated and we thank them for taking time during this busy season to help.

MODEL TRAIN DISPLAY AND DEMONSTRATION

Reverend Bob McKay and members of the Allegheny Plateau Division of the National Model Railroad Association brought an interesting and fun train display to Christ The King o November 17.  You soon realize what a passion this is for them as you watch them set up their miniature village.  The circus was in town in this small world and our residents had a wonderful time watching and learning with fascination.   Reverend McKay is the Rector at Church of our Savior and is part of the Greater DuBois Ministerial Association.
