WHACK IT-SMACK IT-ATTACK IT!

A new game was introduced during National Nursing Home week but is sure to be a hit for months to come!  Just look at the fun....!!!!

PATIO PLAY

We sure get a lot of use out of the activity room patio in the summer.  Every afternoon (except BINGO days!), weather permitting, we bring the residents outside for activities and treats.

HOMEMADE JAM-N-ROLLS

Many fun activities were scheduled for Nursing home week but one of the tastiest was an afternoon of homemade jam and homemade rolls which were both staples in their homes.  "We never was without homemade jam and homemade rolls!" reminisced some of our residents.

Geneva Malewicz

Orange marmalade and strawberry jam

MOTHER'S DAY SOCIAL

Mother's Day never goes by without special activities.  Each lady received a hand-made corsage on Mother's day and we also had a celebration where we had entertainment, special cheesecakes, punch, and most importantly, socialization with our friends.

Jeanne Carberry and Lois Websster

Even the guys enjoyed our Mother's Day party.  Tom Depue enjoys music from Paul Stephenson.

Nancy Mishler and Jackie Fowler

MAY CROWNING

Monica Bobal and Rose Rokoski crown the  Blessed Mother during our May Crowning ceremony in May.

DUBOIS VOCAL ARTS ENSEMBLE

The DuBois Vocal Arts Ensemble gave another stunning performance in our chapel where the acoustics are perfect for their sound.  It was a beautiful prelude to National Nursing Home Week.

CKM COOKBOOK

Our first-ever CKM cookbook was compiled and published during Nursing Home week.  A lot of yummy-delicious recipes can be found in the book!

ARTS AND ANTIQUES SHOW

Our first annual Arts and Antiques show was held during National Nursing home week and was a HUGE success!  Residents and staff contributed items that were near and dear to their hearts to display for the day.  We had a beautiful variety and a nice turnout of visitors.  We look forward to doing it again next year.
