HERE COMES PETER COTTON TAIL!

Craft projects are a popular when scheduled in the activities room. Residents are challenged with helping to make simple, fun, crafts that turn out to be creative works of art!  Residents who are able will help those who are not with their crafts and it creates an atmosphere of teamwork and caring.
Today we made Easter Bunny garland and the results were especially nice.

Althea Simpkins diligently and cleanly cuts bunnies!

NOT YOUR TYPICAL HAIR!

Rose Camise and Lillian Ponzi share a rare similarity for people their age....LONG BEAUTIFUL HAIR.

You wouldn't know how long Rose's hair is if you didn't see her with it undone, ready to be washed. Rose has kept her hair many different ways during her life time, long and short. Her long 22" locks are shampooed and braided every week into very cute hairdoos.

Rose Camise...
...her hair down!
...her hair up!

Lillian has always kept her hair long.  "I only remember having it cut one or two times in my 88years" Lillian says.  She always has her hair done the same, warmly familiar way - down and braided.  Lillian's hair is a lengthy 28" and growing!

STANDING ROOM ONLY FOR "DENNY & FRANK"

Denny Skraba and  Frank Oravec are a very popular pair on our activity calendar each month.  Every third Wednesday at 7:00 pm they show up faithfully to entertain our residents with an uplifting mix of polkas and jokes, and they always play tribute to residents celebrating their birthdays in each respective month with a "shout-out" and the birthday song.  We couldn't provide the wonderful activity program we have without people like Denny & Frank.

ST. PATRICK'S DAY CELEBRATION

We may celebrate St. Patrick's day on March 17 every year but we always seem to throw a party that is the "best one yet!"  There is always something or someone providing extra, surprising fun.  We shared good food with green beer and green punch, laughter and friendship.  Storytelling, door prizes, music and good conversation are plentiful too.  Thanks to our residents who are especially fond of celebrating these fun and memorable holidays!

KIDS AT PLAY!

Mary Shaffer's great, great, grandson's visit turned into a whole lotta' fun for everyone!  Tyler moved the level of excitement up quite a few notches and set the tone as "FUN" with his laughing and excitement while playing  ball with our residents.  He is a great motivator and enthusiastic participant that we would welcome anytime.

Phyllis Godak recently had a visit from her great-great-granddaughter!  Little Stephanie Victoria was only two weeks old when her great-granddaughter, Chelsie brought her in for a visit.  Phyllis' smile never left her face and we all know that new babies sure have a way of making people happy!
Seated are Phyllis and Victoria; behind Phyllis is her daughter, Barb; on either side of Barb are sisters Cassie and Chelsie.
