MARINE CORPS LEAGUE HONORS WWII VETERANS

The Marine Corps League of Pennsylvania honored 26 of our WWII Veterans at their annual convention in July. On July 30, Dave Radaker, Northwest District Commandant of the Marine Corps League, came to Christ The King and led a special presentation to these veterans. With him was Don Desantis, Commandant of Sgt. William l. Dixon Detachment, who was a guest speaker. They presented each WWII veteran with a certificate, a salute, a handshake and a heartfelt thank you. The DuBois Honor Guard was also present for a gun salute. We thank them for coming and especially thank all US Veterans, old and young, who serve our country during war and peace.
Below are a few photos from the ceremony.

PET THERAPY AT CKM

We have a new visitor at Christ The King! Fred Dixon and his dog, Shinook, have made several visits to the manor. They are from Grampian and Shinook is registered with Therapy Dogs International. Registered therapy dogs must pass strict testing before they are awarded this title and Shinook is one of several visiting pets at CKM. Shinook is pictured below with his owner, Fred, and Lillian Mitskavich.
