MICKEY AND MINNIE

...We hope this rare appearance of Mickey and Minnie Mouse will be an annual event!

VISITING SANTA

Louie Caltagarone and his daughter, Cindy, visited our residents with his annual Christmas cheer on his accordion.

HEARTFELT THANKS!

We at Christ The King Manor would like to extend our appreciation, thanks, gratitude, and love to everyone in our community who helped make this Christmas special to our residents.  The picture of the tree demonstrates just part of this generosity from people who work here, visit here, local church groups, and people who just show up each year with special gifts.  This overflowing of gifts under the tree is a visual representation of the generosity of time, talent and love that was shared this year.  We thank all of the talented musicians, church groups, scouts, and community groups who spent countless combined hours performing and caroling for our residents.  We appreciate the local clergy for taking the time to come here to share the word of God and bring comfort to our residents.  We thank the many groups that came to provide special activities to our residents.  We thank the staff for a year of endless care provided to our residents, for each department working together to provide a loving home for our CKM family.  Mostly we thank the Patriarch of this love and generosity, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, in whose name we celebrate this season.   Our prayer is that we keep joy in our hearts and love on our lips as we begin our New Year, always striving to think, do, and say what is pleasing to Him.

WOODSONG CHAMBER ENSEMBLE

Each year in December our residents are treated with a spectacular performance from the Woodsong Chamber Ensemble.  We are privileged to have them here and thank them for taking time during this busy month of December to bring joy to Christ The King.

DAY OF BEAUTY

Once again Judy Smith organized a team of ladies from the Crzygirlz Book Club and Merle Norman to come to Christ The King to pamper our lady residents with makeovers and manicures.  You can see by the smiles how fun and enjoyable it was.

ALL VETERANS HONORED ON VETERAN'S DAY

Forty-one military veterans were recognized during our annual Veteran's Day Celebration here at Christ The King.  As in every year, the DuBois Honor Guard were present to pay tribute to these vets.  As always we are grateful for their service and sacrifice.

Brian Black presents each Honor Guard member a hand crafted pot-holder made by his cousin, Janice Nelsell
